Keyword Research Services – Steer Clear Until You’ve Read This
Are you like me and struggle with keyword research? Actually, it’s not a problem finding them. The problem is though that most are next to useless, or at least seem to be.
I always believed that Google’s keyword tool gave highly accurate results. Why wouldn’t I? Big company like that shouldn’t be giving false figures. Turns out they do and they don’t.
Any data you get isn’t accurate. It would have been correct at some point though. I discovered the answer almost by pure chance.
I homed in on a key phrase with roughly 5000 competing websites. I was pretty sure I could get a good result with that keyword. I started churning out articles by the bucket load.
Pretty soon I noticed over 9000 competitors. I could hardly believe that. Had there been some mistake? It turned out that my articles were showing on these sites and ranking for the keyword.
I would have definitely avoided this key phrase had I saw 9000 competing web pages. As a lot of them were mine (or had my article on) I was competing against my self most of the time. A win win situation if you ask me.
I knew I wasn’t going to get lucky all the time so I decided to try a keyword research service. I was looking to get some decent keywords delivered on a daily basis. Balancing cost against time taken (by me) seemed to prove it could be a valuable asset.
I decided to give Travis Sago’s Instacash service a try. Travis being at the top of the bum marketing pile. Bum marketing is something I really like.
If I can get a keyword or two in my in box each day then that saves me valuable time. At least a two hour saving. An hour or two of my time is highly valuable to me when all I have is time. If I put the time saved up against the daily cost it shows clearly there’s value to be had.
All the big marketers bang on about outsourcing. I see this as an outsourcing project. Outsourcing my keyword research to someone else.
