MLM Secrets ~ Your Company Website Is Pants!!
Do you want to know an MLM Secret?? Do you want to know why no-one visits your company replicated website? When my network marketing company finally got on the internet and gave us all a website, we were so excited. We knew everyone made money on the internet, and we thought, wow, this will transform our MLM business! Surely people would find our website and become customers when they saw what we had. We even paid for a recruiting website ourselves, which we thought may get us a trickle of interested leads.
We certainly never thought about driving any traffic to our site! I guess we had such belief in our product that we expected people to fall over themselves trying to sign up and buy! We were certain that with all the people online, and us handing out so many cards, it would definitely bring in results ! We certainly had results. I think at least half a dozen people put in their details. Unfortunately three of them were spam, as we now call it; idiots we called them at the time. And the other two were unqualified people who thought we were in the ‘get rich quick’ brigade!
But now we’ve got a secret MLM tip! Several years on, and with so much more experience of working on the internet, I regard these early attempts at internet marketing with a smile. Really, we had no idea! Nowadays I consider it amusing that Network Marketing companies still give out these lovely little replicated websites to their distributors. I understand completely that it is their way of holding on to the content of these websites. Obviously they do not want to be taken to court for their distributors over-zealous descriptions of their products benefits!
If you are in Network Marketing today, I need to ask you something: Are you aware that having a company website is useless? If you want to prospect online, you will need your own website or capture page. The problem is that search engines, such as google, hate company websites because there are so many of them all over the internet and they all have the same information. Therefore it will not rank them, so they never show up on the first page, where people might click on the link and visit your site. Search Englines prefer to have content which is original, and which is constantly changing. Company websites are stagnant. With no regularly updated content, they just do not rank highly.
So if you have come onto the internet to try to find prospects, your company replicated site is most definitely not going to hack it. You need to learn how to set up a capture page to get peoples details, how to attract them to you in the first place, what to do with them once you have them, and how to get them to join your business. All in all, you need a system to follow, unless you have a mentor who will show you it all, step by step. Otherwise you will find this is a very big hill to climb. However it is certainly worthwhile, as you can totally explode the number of people you enrol into your business!
